Day 1

I got to Warsaw last night and spent the night in Manda and Andrew's apartment. Aunt Valerie applied for her Polish vet license this morning and then we headed to Krakow, arriving around 7pm. On the train we sat with a man who works as a doctor for a pharmaceutical company here in Poland, but also does a lot of traveling around Europe. He wasn't keen on specifics, but he happens to know one of the professors who teaches at the School for Polish Language and Culture. He taught me quite a few things about Poland and then helped us all with our bags at the Krakow station. It was too late to check into my dorm, Piast, so we headed to the apartment Aunt Valerie is renting and then Nancy treated us all to some delicious Indian food. It's fun to be back in Krakow. Warm fall weather and a rosy pink sunset.
